Ian Holloway has moved to strengthen his Blackpool defence with the signing of West Brom right-back James Hurst.

The 19-year-old has signed for the Seasiders on a season-long loan deal and will hope that this move will enable him to gain more first-team experience.

Hurst made appearances in the Premier League, Carling Cup and FA Cup last term for the Baggies and is viewed there as a player for the future.

The deal is being classed as a youth loan which would allow the Baggies to recall the players after the first 28 days of the deal if he is needed by them.
