Turner: Loaned Cardiff on three year deal for undisclosed fee

Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of defender Ben Turner from championship rivals Coventry City.

As revealed by skysports.com, the Bluebirds were tracking the highly-rated defender to bolster their push for promotion.

The Welsh outfit have now completed the move, with the 23-year-old signing for three years for an undisclosed fee.

A statement on Cardiff's official website said: "Rated by Malky Mackay, Ben fits the bill in terms of attributes and attitude and will train with a scaled down squad on Thursday."

A product of Coventry's academy system, Turner spent loan spells at Peterborough and Oldham before establishing himself in the Sky Blues first team for the 2007/08 campaign.

He has gone on to make 72 appearances for the club.
