Skysports.com understands Fulham are planning to launch a fresh bid to sign West Bromwich Albion winger Jerome Thomas before the transfer window closes.
Thomas is a target for Fulham, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United after impressing during the past two years at West Brom.
He returned from a hip injury to score in last week's Carling Cup win at Bournemouth and made his first Premier League appearance of the season as a substitute in Sunday's defeat by Stoke City.
Speaking after the game, Baggies boss Roy Hodgson stressed the 28-year-old is not for sale after admitting he is not surprised by interest in Thomas.
"I'm sure there's plenty of interest in Jerome Thomas but he's not for sale," said Hodgson ."There's no way he's leaving the club.
"I'd like to think that with the quality of the players we've got here, there would be interest in a lot of them.
"But Jerome is not for sale and I have no intention of allowing him to go anywhere."
However, it is understood that Fulham are prepared to make another move for Thomas as Martin Jol tries to improve his wide options before Wednesday's deadline.
