Aston Villa midfielder Jean Makoun has joined Greek giants Olympiakos on a season-long loan deal.
As revealed by skysports.com over the weekend, Olympiakos had lined up a loan move for the Cameroon international.
Makoun, who joined Villa from Lyon last January, has started just seven games in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old was signed by Alex McLeish's predecessor Gerard Houllier and the midfielder has not featured in the league under the new Villa boss.
Villa are willing to loan out Makoun as he does not figure in McLeish's plans and the move is subject to the player receiving Fifa clearance.
Makoun will be available for Olympiakos' Champions League campaign where they will come up against Arsenal, Marseille and Borussia Dortmund, and the Greeks are believed to have the option to make the move permanent if he impresses in Athens.
