Carl Ikeme will be staying with Middlesbrough for another month after agreeing an extension to his loan deal.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper first linked up with Boro over the summer on a short-term deal from Wolves.
Since arriving at the Riverside Stadium he has played in all four of Boro's Championship fixtures.
He has been thrust into the starting XI as Tony Mowbray finds himself short of options between the sticks.
Ikeme was drafted in to provide cover for first-choice shot-stopper Jason Steele after he broke his wrist in training.
Mowbray was forced to turn to Danny Coyne in midweek, for a Carling Cup date with Peterborough.
A clause in his loan deal prevented Ikeme from appearing in that game, but he is expected to return for a weekend clash with Coventry.
