Torquay have signed striker Billy Bodin on loan until January next year from fellow League Two club Swindon.
Bodin, 19, has made three starts for the Robins already this term but Paolo Di Canio has brought in an influx of new players to the County Ground including another striker Leon Clarke.
Gulls boss Martin Ling is good friends with Billy's father Paul, a former Swindon player.
"I obviously know his dad very well and I have watched Billy for many years," Ling told Torquay's official website.
"He is a precious talent who needs first-team action.
"He started Swindon's first three games of this season and I think that proves to everyone the quality he has and the talent he is."
