Skysports.com understands Macclesfield have rejected a bid for in-form frontman Emile Sinclair.

The 23-year-old has burst out of the blocks this season with a number of impressive displays.

His latest goal came in midweek Carling Cup action, as he netted against Premier League outfit Bolton.

The Trotters hit back to book their place in round three, but Sinclair was one of a number of Silkmen to leave the Reebok Stadium with their reputations enhanced.

Interest

He is now drawing admiring glances from afar, with interest in his services mounting as the transfer window begins to edge towards a close.

League One outfit Rochdale are believed to be the club to have made a move, as they attempt to add extra firepower to their ranks.

Macclesfield have, however, snubbed the approach and are hoping to convince Sinclair to stay.

His current deal at Moss Rose will expire at the end of the current campaign.
