Hamburg winger Eljero Elia has been urged to pick up his performance level as head coach Michael Oenning waits to see if Juventus return with another offer.
Juventus had a bid rejected for the Dutchman earlier this month and Oenning believes they could make another attempt to sign him.
However, Oenning is more concerned about the way Elia's form has tailed off since the new Bundesliga season kicked off.
"I assume there is still interest from that club (Juve)," Oenning told Bild.
"We will have to see what they are putting up.
"Eljero Elia had a brilliant pre-season campaign, but afterwards he performed poorly in matches.
"He needs to understand he himself is key to his struggles."
The 24-year-old is under contract at Hamburg until 2014 after arriving at the club from FC Twente for a fee of around £7.5million two summers ago.
