Senegal international Guirane N'Daw has become the latest new arrival at Birmingham, sealing a short-term loan switch.
The midfielder arrives at St Andrews from French outfit St Etienne and will remain in England until at least January 2012.
The Blues will have the option to extend his stay should they be suitably impressed.
The 27-year-old becomes Chris Hughton's ninth signing of the summer, with Birmingham having been busy piecing together a squad they hope will bounce back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
N'Daw will bring considerable international experience with him to England, having represented his country on 36 occasions.
He began his career with Sochaux in 2002, before moving on to Nantes six years later.
He joined St Etienne in 2010, but spent the final five months of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Zaragoza.
N'Daw will be in contention for a starting role when Birmingham go to Watford on Sunday, but he is ineligible for their Europa League tie with Nacional on Thursday.
