Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given is relishing his home debut against Blackburn this weekend.
The 35-year-old moved to the Midlands from Manchester City earlier this summer and pulled off a number of good saves to keep a clean sheet on his debut at Fulham last weekend.
Despite having struggled with a minor groin injury this week, the Republic of Ireland international is now poised to feature against Rovers and he cannot wait.
Given told the club's official website: "Villa Park is a special place, no question.
"It's a fantastic stadium and it will be great to get out there on matchday and be welcomed by the supporters.
"I have had a bit of abuse when I've turned up at Villa Park before but now, hopefully, I will be welcomed with the claret and blue fans behind me.
"I am looking forward to playing for them. Villa Park has always been a tough place to come as an opposing player."
