Real Sociedad are set to sign former Manchester City target McDonald Mariga on a season-long loan deal from Inter Milan.
The move is subject to a medical but a deal has been agreed and the Spanish side also have the option of signing the Kenyan midfielder permanently when his stay comes to an end next summer.
Mariga began his professional career at Swedish side Enkoping and had spells at Helsingborg and Parma before moving to Inter Milan in February 2010.
The 24-year-old almost moved to Manchester City before joining the Italian giants but his move was restricted due to work permit issues.
He has played 27 times for the Kenyan national side, scoring three goals.
