Chelsea assistant manager Roberto Di Matteo will have key inside information on West Brom ahead of Saturday's game, according to Steven Reid.
The Italian was manager at The Hawthorns for 19 months and oversaw their promotion to the Premier League during his tenure.
Reid was brought to the club by Di Matteo and the majority of the squad that he assembled while at the helm remain at the Midlands club.
So if Chelsea needed anyone to help them target and expose the weaknesses of the opposition, they have the ideal source of information within their coaching team.
"I'm sure Roberto Di Matteo will know our lads inside out and he will know what we can do," Reid told the Birmingham Mail.
"I'm a little surprised he's there because he's been a No.1 for a few years with us and MK Dons before that and now obviously he's taken more of a back seat at Chelsea.
"But it's a great move for him and I'm sure he's enjoying it.
"He did well for us but obviously he's at Chelsea now and I'm sure he'll do well there as well."
