Skysports.com understands former Southampton youngster Jake Thomson has agreed a deal to join Kettering Town.
Thomson arrives on a free transfer after being released by Exeter earlier this summer.
The Trinidad & Tobago star has penned a short-term deal at the ambitious Blue Square Premier side.
The midfielder was allowed to leave St James Park after making 16 league appearances for the Grecians last term and he also had a spell on loan at Cheltenham Town.
Thomson's signing will come as a boost to Kettering as they look to mount a bid for promotion to the Football League this season.
