Norwich have completed the signing of Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala for an undisclosed fee.
The Premier League new boys are thought to have beaten off interest from Swansea and Hull to land the Spaniard.
Ayala made only five first-team appearances for Liverpool after joining the club from Sevilla in 2007.
"Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Ayala has completed his transfer to Norwich City," read a statement on Liverpool's official website.
The 20-year-old impressed during loan spells in the Championship at Hull and Derby last season and Canaries boss Paul Lambert has been keeping tabs on him.
Ayala is Norwich's eighth signing of the summer and he is expected to go straight into the squad for this weekend's clash with Stoke.
