Arsene Wenger has revealed that Tomas Rosicky will face a late fitness test ahead of Arsenal's clash with Udinese.
The Gunners are set to face Serie A opposition in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
They will welcome Udinese to the Emirates for the first leg of their play-off clash, with a place in the group stages of Europe's premier club competition up for grabs.
Arsenal know they will be without Cesc Fabregas following his sale to Barcelona and must decide how they will fill that particular midfield void.
Rosicky is among those who are capable of compensating for the loss of Fabregas' playmaking instincts.
The Czech is, however, nursing a slight knock he picked up during the Gunners' 0-0 draw with Newcastle at the weekend and a decision on his involvement against Udinese will be left until the day of the game.
"We have an uncertainty from Saturday about Rosicky," Wenger told the club's official website.
"He is in the squad and will have a fitness test on Tuesday morning."
Arsenal supporters will be hoping Rosicky can put himself in contention, as they will also be without Samir Nasri in midweek.
The French midfielder, who continues to be linked with a move to Manchester City, is suspended and must serve a ban alongside strike ace Robin van Persie.
