Bolton boss Owen Coyle insists he will keep in-demand Gary Cahill in the loop as and when an offer arrives.
The talented defender has been consistently linked with a move with Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly interested.
Cahill enhanced his reputation on Saturday with a goal in Bolton's crushing 4-0 success over newly-promoted QPR.
Coyle would dearly love to keep Cahill at The Reebok, but will let the defender know if a bid is tabled for his services.
"If anything concrete happens, Gary will be the first to know," explained Coyle.
"Some of the stuff I read daily is embarrassing and has no foundation.
"I am so transparent and up front - five or six weeks ago there were a couple of notes of interest with Gary, but there has not been one firm offer.
"I am very relaxed about it, Gary knows that and that is why you go out and see the performance you did (on Saturday)."
