Bury boss Richie Barker has handed midfielder Patrick Cregg a 12-month deal following a successful trial.

The Dublin-born player is now waiting on international clearance before he can feature for the npower League One outfit. Cregg, 25, started his career at Arsenal before joining Falkirk in January 2006 and making over 100 Scottish Premier League appearances prior to spells with Hibernian and St Mirren. Barker said: "Obviously Patrick is a player that we know having spent time with us over the summer. "He comes from a good pedigree having started his career with Arsenal and having played in the Scottish Cup Final for Falkirk only a few years ago. "I believe he will become a very valuable member of our squad."
