Skysports.com understands Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign Rochdale striker Chris O'Grady.
O'Grady has proved a big hit for Dale following his move from Oldham Athletic in August 2009, which was initially on loan.
In all O'Grady scored 34 league goals in just 93 appearances for the Spotland outfit.
The Owls bagged 67 League One goals last season and manager Gary Megson sees O'Grady as the man to increase their output.
O'Grady could be in line to make his Wednesday debut in Thursday's Carling Cup clash with Blackpool should the formalities be completed in time.
