Petrovic: Blackburn move finalised
Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Serbian international Radosav Petrovic after he was granted a work permit.
Rovers have spent around £3million on the 6ft 4in midfielder, who arrives on a four-year deal.
The 22-year-old had not played in enough matches to gain an automatic work permit, but on appeal to the Home Office Rovers won their case.
Now Petrovic is free to link up with his new club and becomes their second signing of the summer following on from the arrival of David Goodwillie from Dundee United.
Rovers are now hoping to complete his registration in time for him to be available to face Wolves in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
Manager Steve Kean said: "We are delighted to bring Radosav to the club, as he is a player that I have admired for some time.
"His record to date speaks for itself and he is exactly the type of player we have been looking to recruit.
"He is a dynamic midfield player, with a great box-to-box mentality and a good passer of the ball, who I believe will go on to make a big impact with Rovers.
"It is a fact that many European clubs were in the race for his signature and we consider getting him to Ewood Park as a major coup."
