Oldham Athletic have snapped up James Wesolowski on a free transfer after his contract at Peterborough United was cancelled.
Peterborough confirmed earlier on Monday that the Australian midfielder had been allowed to leave London Road by mutual consent.
Wesolowski arrived at Peterborough from Leicester in the summer of 2010 and was handed a two-year deal.
He made 39 appearances last season as the Posh won promotion to the Championship, but was deemed surplus to requirements by Darren Ferguson.
The 23-year-old has quickly fixed himself up with a new club after agreeing a one-year contract to join League One side Oldham.
Wesolowski is expected to make his Latics debut on Tuesday against Carlisle United in the Carling Cup as Matty Lund is away on international duty.
