Skysports.com understands Craig Easton is still open to offers after dropping into the free agent pool.
The Scottish midfielder currently finds himself without a club after turning down the offer of a new contract at Southend.
He spent only one season with the Shrimpers, but is keen to take on another new challenge.
He has been approached by a couple of clubs so far this summer, but he is keen to hold out for the right deal.
With that in mind, he is hoping an enticing offer will be put to him in the not too distant future, with the new campaign set to get underway this weekend.
Easton's agent Clive Hart told skysports.com: "He has rejected a couple of offers from clubs and is keeping his options open.
"He is waiting for the right offer."
The 32-year-old has previously turned out for Dundee United, Livingston, Leyton Orient and Swindon.
