Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to 'brainwash' striker Ezequiel Lavezzi into complying with the club's code of conduct.
The Argentina international has been pushing for a move since January, with Manchester City previously linked with the 26-year-old.
De Laurentiis has been irritated by Lavezzi's attitude, so much so that he has offered to spend a day teaching the player some local traditions.
He said: "I'll say it to everybody - I told Lavezzi's agent that I want the player for a day in my boat so I'll brainwash him. Then, he'll no longer commit certain mistakes.
"We must try to incorporate Lavezzi and let him know that if he wants to stay in Napoli he can no longer behave like an Argentinian but like the Neapolitans, assuming his responsibilities.
"He must train well, stop asking us can he leave, as he did last winter, and must avoid being expelled in certain circumstances."
