Chelsea new-boy Oriol Romeu is determined to make the most of his opportunity at Stamford Bridge after completing a move from Barcelona.
The 19-year-old midfielder has departed Camp Nou for the Premier League after penning a four-year deal with the Blues on Thursday.
Romeu will help provide cover for the injured Michael Essien, who will miss the first half of the season with a knee problem.
And while the youngster admits it was difficult to leave boyhood club Barca, he is looking forward to a new challenge in West London.
"Chelsea is a great option for me," Romeu told the Daily Mail. "Leaving Barca hurts, but you have to take your chances."
Romeu is currently in Colombia on World Cup duty with Spain's Under 20s and he will link up with the Blues later this month.
