Skysports.com understands Swansea have bid for NEC Nijmegen goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
The newly-promoted Premier League club are looking for a new shot-stopper after former No.1 Dorus De Vries opted for a move to Wolves.
Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has also missed out on Fulham's David Stockdale, who decided on a loan switch to Ipswich.
Cillessen has consequently emerged as a target and it is understood an offer has been made to Dutch side NEC.
The 22-year-old has also been linked with European giants Ajax following his impressive form in the Eredivise.
Cillessen earned his first call-up to the Dutch squad in May, but is not set to be involved in the forthcoming friendly against England.
