Bristol City are set to re-sign West Ham defender Jordan Spence on a season-long loan, skysports.com understands. The 21-year-old spent time at Ashton Gate last season and Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, who took over this summer, is keen for the youngster to again have the chance to play games. City boss Keith Millen admitted at the end of last season the he would like to re-sign the England Under 21 international. His hopes appeared to be dashed when Spence signed a three-year contract at West Ham this summer, but a deal is now close after talks over the past 48 hours. Spence has also gone on loan to Leyton Orient and Scunthorpe during his career since becoming a professional with West Ham in 2010.
