Algeria international's injury nightmare continues

Wolves midfielder Adlene Guedioura will have minor ankle surgery which will rule him out of the start of the season. The midfielder has been blighted by injuries during his time at Wolves and this latest procedure is expected to keep him out for six weeks. Mick McCarthy is keen to have the Algeria international at his disposal and believes he has the talent to make an impact on the Premier League. "Adlene's got to have an operation but unfortunately that's part and parcel of football," he told the club's official website. "And that's epitomised by someone like George Elokobi. I asked him how he felt about going back to Ipswich on Saturday after getting badly injured there but it's part of the game. "It's been difficult for Adlene but we want him fit because he's a good player." This is the latest blow for Guedioura who missed most of last season with a broken leg.
