Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed Leicester are close to signing Gelson Fernandes on a season-long loan.
Eriksson to also offer contracts to Ball and Tunchev
Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed Leicester City are close to signing Gelson Fernandes on a season-long loan deal from St Etienne.
Skysports.com revealed last week that the Foxes were lining up a move for Fernandes, who played under Eriksson at Manchester City.
The Switzerland international is out of favour at St Etienne and Eriksson is now trying to finalise a loan deal.
"Gelson, yes, it will be official very soon," said Eriksson in the Leicester Mercury.
Eriksson is also prepared to offer contracts to former Manchester City full-back Michael Ball and Aleksandar Tunchev, who appears to have proved his fitness.
The Leicester boss added: "I am quite sure we will offer them both (Ball and Tunchev) a contract.
"They have both been very good in pre-season. They are getting better and better so almost for sure it will happen."
