Midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has set his sights on a place in the England squad.
The 27-year-old, who joined Bolton on a two year deal this week, is aiming to nail down a regular starting place at the Reebok Stadium and revive his international ambitions.
The former Under 21 captain was on the verge of a call-up to the senior squad before falling out of favour at previous club Aston Villa.
Reo-Coker, who also rejected a chance to play for Sierra Leone last year, said: "I still have aspirations to play for England.
"Playing consistently makes a difference and I hope, having come here, to get consistent games. Then we will go from there."
Trotters boss Owen Coyle added: "We'd love him to get back to that level because I believe he's capable of doing that."
