Blackburn set to secure services of Serbian midfielder

Sky Sports sources understand that Radosav Petrovic is having a medical with Blackburn. It was reported earlier that the Partizan Belgrade midfielder was on the brink of a move to Blackburn after talks with Vitesse Arnhem broke down. The 22-year-old looked destined to join the Eredivisie side this summer having passed a medical with the Dutch side, with a reported €3million (£2.7m) transfer fee having been agreed. But that deal fell through, opening the door for Rovers manager Steve Kean to step in and launch a bid to secure his services. Kean has been a long-term admirer the Serbia international, who has earned 18 caps for his country. And although the Scottish boss is currently with his squad in Hong Kong for the Premier League Asia Trophy, it is thought Petrovic has arrived at Ewood Park for his medical. The tall midfielder is now set to become Kean's second summer signing after the arrival of young Aberdeen defender Miles Anderson.
