Celtic have allowed Mexico international Efrain Juarez to join Real Zaragoza on a season-long loan deal.
The versatile 23-year-old, who can operate in midfield or defence, made the move to Scotland after representing his country at last summer's World Cup.
But he struggled to establish himself as a regular in Neil Lennon's side, making 11 starts and nine appearances off the bench.
Juarez stated earlier this month that he was hoping to be given more opportunities at Celtic over the coming year, but Lennon has instead decided to send him out on loan.
He will be reunited at Zaragoza with compatriot Javier Aguirre, who coached Mexico at the 2010 World Cup.
