Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers have signed Danny Gabbidon after he impressed on trial.

Gabbidon arrives at Loftus Road on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at West Ham earlier this summer.

As revealed by skysports.com last week, Gabbidon linked up with QPR for pre-season training and the Wales international has impressed Rangers boss Neil Warnock.

Warnock has handed Gabbidon a one-year deal with the option of another 12 months, as he sees the experienced defender as a key addition to his squad.

Gabbidon is QPR's third free transfer signing of the summer following the arrivals of Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer.
