Cheltenham have announced striker Darryl Duffy is set to sign for the club following his release from Bristol Rovers.
The 27-year-old is a free agent since last season and will now join his new team-mates in Wales where the squad are continuing their preparation for the new season.
"We have been light in the forward areas and Darryl brings something different," boss Mark Yates told the club's official website. "He wants to kick-start his career again and he really is hungry for it.
"I've heard a lot of good things from him in terms of what he wants to do and I have been excited about this potentially happening for a couple of weeks now.
"We've had one or two things to sort out but I'm delighted we have signed him.
"He's scored nearly 70 goals in his career and he has a point to prove. It hasn't quite worked out for him at Rovers over the past few years but he has a real hunger and desire to play and show how good he is."
