Skysports.com understands that youngster Kieron Djilali has been impressing Leyton Orient while on trial this summer.
The 20-year-old, who has previously undertaken two loan spells with Chesterfield, rejected an offer to stay with Crystal Palace.
The midfielder was hoping to win a contract at Brisbane Road and kick-start his career after been seen as the next big thing as a teenager.
Djilali has been turning heads during his time with the League One outfit over the summer by netting twice in two of the club's three pre-season outings.
Although Djilali is out of contract, Palace are seeking compensation for aiding his development and they could be entitled to any future sell-on fee.
Championship clubs Barnsley and Doncaster have previously been linked with the youngster, who is currently the only trialist in Russell Slade's squad.
