George Thorne has penned a new contract at West Brom and is hoping to see more first-team action.
The 18-year-old midfielder, a product of the Baggies' academy system, made his Premier League debut against Newcastle on the final day of last season.
Since then he has been included in the club's pre-season tour of the United States and has featured in both of their games so far.
The new deal will keep Thorne, who was withdrawn from the England squad for the U20 World Cup to take a full part in pre-season, at the Hawthorns until the summer of 2014.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted the club were willing to offer me a new contract.
"Hopefully I can prove I am worthy of another one.
"This new contract will give me more confidence. It's another stepping stone for me and hopefully I can push on and be a big part of what's going on at the club."
