Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claims a 'big European club' have offered €45million for Javier Pastore.
The 22-year-old Argentina international has caught the eye of a number of major teams and has been tipped to move away from Sicily this summer.
Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City have all been linked with Pastore but Palermo were thought to be holding out for €50m.
Zamparini revealed the Rosanero could drop the price but any deal would have to be vetted by Pastore's agent.
"Yesterday (Monday) I spoke with a big European club that told me to cut the price from 50 to 45 millions. I have told they must have to talk with the player's agent," Zamparini told Radio Radio.
"Should Roma want him, they must be hurry because in about ten days the situation could be solved. I accept only cash and not technical counterparts.
"We are negotiating Pastore with a big club of which I personally know the official."
