New boy Darren Pratley was on the scoresheet as Bolton recorded their first pre-season victory with a 3-1 triumph over Orlando City.
Captain Kevin Davies gave Bolton an early lead when he headed home from Martin Petrov's cross after 18 minutes.
And although Matt Luzunaris got the hosts back on level terms before the half-hour, Wanderers soon surged ahead.
Pratley was first to react inside a packed penalty area following Lee Chung-yong's outswinging cross and then Petrov's classy finish six minutes before the break gave the visitors a two-goal cushion.
Defender Zat Knight was substituted in the first half as a precautionary measure after suffering a thigh strain in the build-up to Orlando's equaliser.
