Skysports.com understands Middlesbrough are ready to offer Seb Hines a new long-term deal to stay at the Riverside.
The 23-year-old recently won a new deal in January, but the club are keen to offer him new terms to ward off interest from other clubs.
Hines established himself as a first-team regular under Tony Mowbray last term and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Bolton have been credited with an interest in the Boro youth team product after impressing in the second half of last season.
Middlesbrough are determined to keep hold of Hines and they will discuss a new deal with the versatile defender in the coming weeks.
