Monaco defender Cedric Mongongu is keen to secure a move to Blackburn, according to the player's agent.
As revealed by skysports.com last week, Rovers are in talks with Monaco about a deal for the central defender.
French champions Lille are also thought to be keen on signing the Congo international, but Mongongu's agent, Christophe Mongai, claims Ewood Park is his first-choice of destination.
"He would like to join Blackburn Rovers," Mongai told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"There have been a lot of clubs interested in him, but yes, he wants to come to Blackburn and the Premier League. That is his wish.
"The two clubs are in discussions, and the player is in discussions with Monaco and Blackburn.
"We can't say anything has been sorted yet, but we hope it will be soon. Discussions between everyone will go on."
