Saudi club Al-Hilal have snapped up Youssef El-Arabi on a four-year contract from French outfit Caen.
The Morocco international started the summer by being linked with a move to England, with Stoke and Wolves believed to be in the frame.
It then appeared as though he would be on his way to Italy, with Caen officials admitting that a switch to Serie A was imminent.
Genoa looked to be the most likely to land his signature, with an offer on the table.
El-Arabi has opted to head to the Middle East, though, and will continue his career in Saudi Arabia.
