Cardiff have confirmed that promising frontman Joe Mason is to join them from Plymouth.
The Bluebirds have reached an agreement with the Pilgrims that will see the 20-year-old move to South Wales for an undisclosed fee.
He successfully completed a medical over the weekend and has agreed personal terms with the Championship club.
Mason is now on his way to Spain where he will join up with his news team-mates on their pre-season tour.
He becomes Malky Mackay's sixth signing of the summer and will provide further competition for places at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Mason, who was born in England, has represented Republic of Ireland at U21 level and is viewed as one for the future by the Bluebirds.
A statement released on the club's official website read: "He is seen as an exciting prospect and will look to develop further under the guidance of Malky Mackay at Championship level."
