Scunthorpe keen to see more of prospects before making a decision

Scunthorpe United assistant manager Chris Brass will give trialists Mustafa Tiryaki, Dominic Green and Stephen Brogan more time to impress. All three started Saturday's 7-0 pre-season away victory at Bottesford Town although the Iron fielded two teams in the game. Tiryaki - who started up front - scored the first goal, while Green and Brogan both enjoyed success getting forward from the wing and left-back respectively. Brass was pleased with what he saw from the trio but says the Iron want to build up more of a report before deciding whether to dish out contracts, knowing any player that comes in needs to add value.

Quality

"They've come in and trained well," Brass told the club's official website. "They've got good base levels of fitness, which we expect - otherwise they wouldn't have been in the building for very long. "They showed again on the day that they've got a little bit of quality. "It's pointless us getting trialists in unless they're going to be pushing what we've got in the first team so they certainly give us something to think about and we'll have another look at them next week. "They deserve another chance. They've done well and we won't make any kneejerk decisions, we will look at them throughout the pre-season."
