Spaniard in a quandary over potential Barca exit

Young Spanish striker Bojan admits he has mixed emotions as he weighs up a move to Roma from Barcelona. The Italian club reached an agreement with the 20-year-old last month but a deal is yet to be finalised. Tottenham were also reportedly ready to prise the forward from Roma. "I am experiencing a bittersweet situation," Bojan told Corriere dello Sport. "It's not easy to leave Barcelona but in any case I feel fortunate.

Respected

"I'm only 20 and I know I still will be able to achieve many things in football. "Roma are very interested in me and it could be a great experience. "I have not spoken to (new Roma coach) Luis Enrique but I know he is keen on having me. "Italian football is respected all over the world and an experience in Serie A would be good for my career." Bojan, who struggled to get regular first-team football at Barca, is set to join Roma in a €10million transfer deal and is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Serie A outfit.
Surprised
Meanwhile, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has denied Erik Lamela's move to the Italian capital is a done deal. Reports in the Argentinian media claimed the Serie A side had reached an agreement with River Plate over the teenager's transfer this summer. The Giallorossi are competing with several clubs for the highly-rated attacking midfielder, including Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan. "We are interested in Lamela, I cannot deny this," Sabatini told Gazzetta dello Sport. "But to say that everything is done has somewhat surprised me. "He is a strong and charismatic player but we are not as close to completing the deal as they say in Argentina. "We can say that we are just one of the numerous clubs interested in the player and that we are equidistant with respect to the other clubs that are also keen to sign him."
