Zarate: Expected to stay at Lazio despite attracting interest from Manchester City
The agent of Mauro Zarate has insisted the striker is happy at Lazio and will not be going anywhere this summer, following fresh speculation over a move to Manchester City.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito hinted on Tuesday that Zarate could leave the club, saying he would 'consider' any important offer that comes along.
The Argentine forward has been strongly linked with a move to Eastlands this summer, while Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old.
However, Zarate's representative, Giuseppe Bozzo, maintains that his client is enjoying life in Rome and is likely to stay beyond this summer.
"(Manchester) City like Mauro but I don't know if he is on their wish list," Bozzo told Corriere dello Sport.
"When I went to Spain to talk to Atletico Madrid, I discussed other players but not Mauro.
"Mauro is not on the market and has not asked for a transfer.
"He has a release clause of 25million euros and it will be difficult to sell him although in football you never know.
"But he is happy at Lazio."
Zarate contributed nine goals in 35 league appearances for Lazio last season and is under contract with Lazio until June 2014.
