Wolves' forgotten man Michael Kightly is looking forward to playing first-team football again following an injury nightmare.
The 25-year-old has been dogged by a series of injuries, most notably ankle and knee setbacks, since the tail-end of 2009.
Kightly made just four appearances last term and ten in all competitions in the 2009/10 campaign, leading to much frustration for the ex-Grays man.
He is now looking forward to a full pre-season with his team-mates and is hoping all goes without a hitch so that he can establish himself as a Premier League player.
Eager
"I've missed too much football during the past two seasons and I'm eager to get back to where I was a couple of years ago," he told the club's official website.
"I got back at the end of last season but it was difficult in those games because the team were needing points to stay up and we couldn't really carry anyone.
"But we've got a lot of games this pre-season, I've worked hard over the summer and, with a good pre-season, hopefully I can compete for a place."
Kightly added: "It is a big ambition of mine to play well in the Premier League - but I just want to be playing football, full stop.
"I'm aiming to play like I was two years ago before all the injury problems started."
