Skysports.com understands Bournemouth are poised to sign Crystal Palace defender Adam Barrett.
Barrett is thought to be in talks with the Cherries after they agreed a fee with Palace for his signature.
The 31-year-old is down the pecking order at Palace and Eagles boss Dougie Freedman is willing to let him move on.
Barrett's arrival at Bournemouth would help fill the void created by Jason Pearce's departure to Portsmouth earlier this summer.
If Barrett joins Bournemouth he will become the club's third new signing of the summer following the arrivals of Steven Gregory and Darryl Flahavan.
