Skysports.com understands Torquay are poised to sign Falkirk goalkeeper Robert Olejnik.
Falkirk are resigned to losing the former Aston Villa youngster as they look to trim their playing budget for next season.
The 24-year-old made himself a big fans' favourite at Falkirk after arriving on a free transfer from Aston Villa in the summer of 2007.
A number of clubs have been chasing the Austrian, but Torquay appear to have won the race for Olejnik.
The League Two club are believed to have offered Olejnik a two-year deal to make the move to Plainmoor.
