Free agent Peter Leven has left MK Dons after failing to sign his contract offer.
The Dons gave the Scottish midfielder, 27, a deadline to put pen to paper on his written terms but that has now passed, resulting in his departure from stadium:mk. Leven made 105 appearances for the club since joining in July 2008, scoring 22 goals. He missed last season's play-off semi-final with a broken foot. Boss Karl Robinson told the club's official website: "Peter has been an unbelievable servant to this football club and while I am sad it has come to this, I have the utmost respect for Peter. "Due to the relationship the club and I have with Peter, we will continue to support him during his rehabilitation and ensure he returns to fitness."
