Skysports.com understands that Fulham and West Brom are chasing Birmingham's Liam Ridgewell.

Birmingham are resigned to losing some of their key players following their relegation from the Premier League and Ridgewell could be following his former Aston Villa team-mate, Craig Gardner, out the exit door.

Gardner sealed a move to Sunderland on Thursday and Fulham and West Brom are ready to offer Ridgewell the chance to remain a Premier League player.

The versatile defender is under contract until 2013 but Birmingham would be willing to let him leave at the right price.

The 26-year-old made a £2million move across the Second City in 2007 and has gone on to make 138 league appearances for Blues.

Ridgewell scored four goals in 36 league games last term as Birmingham slipped to relegation, although he did help them win the Carling Cup in February.
