Nicky Ajose looks set to seal a permanent move to the Championship, according to former club Bury.
The young forward impressed hugely whilst on loan at Gigg Lane last season, and The Shakers had held out some hope of bringing him back to the club.
But now he looks set for a permanent move and skysports.com understands that Peterborough have made a move for him.
And Bury boss Richie Barker has confirmed a deal is on the cards.
"From what I can gather, Nicky Ajose is on the possible brink of a move to the Championship that involves a lot of money," said Barker.
"Without being too negative, I think we have to accept the fact that we are trying to get this club to stand on its own two feet, so we wouldn't put the club at risk by spending money we haven't got."
