Marseille have completed the signing of Nicolas N'Koulou from relegated Monaco, whilst they have also lined up a deal for French captain Alou Diarra.
N'Koulou has joined for a fee of around €3.5million and as part of the deal Marseille will send Senah Mango on loan to Monaco.
Marseille are also closing on a deal for Diarra as they have reached agreement in principle with Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux.
The 29-year-old midfielder was targeted by coach Didier Deschamps last year but the deal fell through because of insufficient funds.
"Marseille, Alou Diarra and Bordeaux have reached agreement in principle over the transfer," Marseille announced on its website.
"There still remain some details to sort out. These remaining points should be finalised in the next 48 hours."
Should Diarra's deal go through he will be the fourth signing since the end of the season, joining N'Koulou and Lorient duo Morgan Amalfitano and Jeremy Morel.
